throwing a ball in softball

In softball throwing it is very important that the correct softball throwing mechanics are applied. There are a number of softball throwing drills to help achieve your goal.To insure throwing a softball correctly after the release of the ball your arm should follow through across your body. If you throw more sidearm than three quarter arm your arm will finish higher. By finishing your arm across your body it will help prevent injury to your shoulder. Never leave your arm facing straight out after the release of the ball. If so, you are risking shoulder problems. In above picture Arizona State University player shows proper follow through after she releases  the ball. San Diego State University player is in the background.
